Neicole Woodall - Executive Director

Neicole grew up in a small town in North Texas that had only limited theater experiences. She has been happily married to Bruce (her high school sweetheart) for 36 years and has two wonderful children, Megan and Clayton. Her world changed forever when Megan decided to try a local children’s theater at age 11. Neicole became very involved in all aspects of the theater, first as a parent volunteer and later as a full-time staff member. She has dabbled in acting and knows how wonderful it is to be onstage; her highlight was performing with her daughter, Megan. She wishes she would have had more opportunities to be “in the lights” as a young girl, but now desires to create a place that gives this opportunity to local children. A gifted artist, Neicole has taught art lessons, homeschooled her son, Clayton, and worked for many years as the office manager of a children’s theater. Neicole is now using her 17+ years of theater and administrative experience to birth The Genesis Theatre!

Megan Demsky, Teacher/Director

Megan grew up participating in local childrens, community, and college theaters. She is not only a gifted teacher, but an accomplished professional. As a member of Actor’s Equity Association, she has worked as a professional actor in the DFW area for many years. Some of her favorite roles include Winnifred in Once Upon A Mattress (GCT, Column Award for Best Actress), Ado Annie in Oklahoma (GSM, Leon Rabin Nomination for Best Supporting Actress) and most recently, Ellie May Chipley in the concert of the completely restored Show Boat (Lyric Stage). While playing Kate in Titanic at Lyric Stage in Irving, she had the privilege of being directed by Broadway director Drew Scott Harris. Shortly afterward, Mr. Harris invited her to understudy Tony nominated actress Marla Schaffel as Maria Rainer in the National Tour of The Sound of Music. After The Sound of Music closed, Megan moved to New York City and lived there happily for 4 years. While in New York, she was cast in the TheaterWorks’ first national tour of Henry and Mudge. While on tour, she performed in many places across the country, but her favorite was when she performed on a Broadway stage. Megan's passion is guiding young performers to find their best no matter what they are involved in and she has done so for over seven years. She is so excited to start this new venture in theater and also her new venture in life as recently married her partner in crime, Tim Demsky.
